The practice contributed to preparation of the Strategic Development Framework for the town, providing ideas for greenspace, public realm, play and reaction, including how the town could link better to its spectacular countryside setting.  An initial charrette with the Town Team, business leaders and the public was followed by ongoing consultation and development of ideas.

In addition to robust structural ideas specific measures responding to the setting of the town included The Pennine Star,  stitches of laser light running across the whole town from an overlooking hillside. The ‘Star’ only emerges, through perspective, from a single viewpoint on the hill.

Other proposals include a new park for Eureka and entrance to the town, Pennine Roof Meadows and three dimensional courtyard water fountains within the historic Piece Hall.
