The practice developed neighbourhood enhancement proposals for Cambridge Street and Harrow Street in Moorthorpe. The scheme forms part of the wider Green Corridor housing initiative which aims to improve residential areas across a number of mining villages in the former South Yorkshire coalfield.
Initial design options were prepared for a range of green spaces, streets and alleys. These were then taken through a series of public and stakeholder consultation exercises to identify and develop a preferred solution.
In conjunction with architectural and boundary improvements once run down streets have been reinvented, providing practical functions including parking and access within a safe and attractive environment.
