Fulneck Moravian Settlement is of great historic value and sensitive to change. It is set within a Conservation Area and includes the Grade 1 listed Moravian Chapel. The practice produced detailed drawings, submitted planning applications and project managed the reinstatement of The Terrace, a key area fronting the school and chapel buildings.
Existing pavings and approaches were in a poor and unsafe condition, restricting access for the disabled. Proposals included provision of DDA compliant surfaces, access paths, steps, railings, a disabled parking area and new surface water drainage system. Working closely with our Client, Conservation Officers and craftsmen has allowed us to deliver a practical solution that is sympathetic to its historic setting.
