The garden comprises a series of inter-connected spaces encircling the house.  Spaces are outward looking, connecting to the wider garden and open countryside beyond.
Spatial structure is woven with a series of unusual elements abstracted from the idea of light (linear water feature, UV rockery, reflecting garden, sky room, uplit glass plates) to animate the garden during day and night.

The garden creates a man-made geology sliced through with light and water.  Sufficient natural materials and simple forms allow a very contemporary design to work with the very traditional forms of the buildings.
