The local community appointed Estell Warren to uplift an existing area of playing fields.  A new access route with seating, wildflower areas and an adult trim trail creates links between the village and recreational facilities.  The scheme allows closer access to Mill Dike (an attractive ‘chalk’ stream) on the boundary of the park.  Working alongside the local Parish Council we liaised with the Environment Agency to gain the necessary consents for works within this main river corridor.

The facility has proved very popular with exercising adults and children alike - the linear arrangement of timber benches, ‘piers’, interpretation boards, recycled plastic deck and paths allows access to new ‘wildlife bays’ and creates places to meet, sit, exercise and play.
